Recognizing a Soul Mate through Intuitive Type

Excerpt From Love and Intuition-How the four different Intuitive Types Experience Soul Mate Love

Recognizing a soul mate takes time and patience.  To know if someone is your soul mate, check for these intuitive clues, especially the ones that are not your predominant intuitive type.

The physical intuitive will experience a soul mate through undeniable physical attraction and chemistry.  They will likely feel intuitive soul compatibility direction through surges of physical energy and they may need less sleep, eat little, enjoy exercise and have loads of physical stamina.  They have the empowered belief that they are able to accomplish any task or goal.

The mental intuitive will feel what is called “peak” mental experiences.  They will be able to spontaneously understand the meaning behind past perplexing situations and relationships.  They will be able to see the big picture and have a sense that everything in life is just the way it is meant to be.  Feelings of gratitude for past struggles and unsuccessful relationships, will surface as they become aware that these conditions were necessary lessons on their path to their soul mate.  Where once there was disharmony and emotional pain, there is now only understanding and acceptance.

The heart of the emotional intuitive will fully open and they will experience the full emotional spectrum of love.  They will love not only their soul mate, but the disgruntled employee at the grocery store, the stranger that asks for a hand-out or the relative that has always been difficult.  Soul mate love will inspire the emotional intuitive to love everyone and everything.  Compassion forgiveness, kindness and the benevolence of the divine, flows freely from them.  They cannot contain their joy. The paradox of loving a soul mate is that the love becomes too big for just two people.  It embraces the world.

A spiritual intuitive will experience the soul-mate as wholeness, completion and blissful rest.  The soul relaxes and basks in the energy and light of its partner.  The spiritual intuitive may have seen their soul mate in their dreams, in a vision or mediation and they are likely to have experiences of déjà vu with them.  They will have an inner knowing that they have been predestined to meet this person and that they can now go about the business of fulfilling their soul purpose and mission in the physical world.  Soul-mates inspire one another to transcend self-absorbed focus and become a light of love for others.

Every Relationship has a Purpose

Every relationship that you are in is important.  Each one is an opportunity to heal and love.  The universe supplies us with endless possibilities to experience love and connection. Even if you are not in a true soul-mate relationship every person you encounter is preparing you for the ultimate experience of love.

Soul-mates are never in short supply. It may be necessary that you interact, with and love many people during your life.  We sometimes forget that the soul learns through pain and disappointment as much as it does through the lofty feelings of happiness and joy.  All we experience is food for the soul.  Cherish your relationship misfortunes and disasters. They are the deep, rich tilled and composted soil that the seed of soul-mate love may need in order to grow, sprout and come into full flower.  Even when a relationship “fails” you do not have to.

Don’t try to outguess the wisdom of love. Trust that there is a higher plan at work and a purpose for every relationship that you have been and will be in.

Divine Intuition

An Excerpt from The Miracle Workers Handbook
Working with Mary as a spiritual teacher and guide….
comtempmother

Once you make the decision to accept and live from your spiritual identity your divine intuition wakes up. Divine intuition is the language of your spirit and the means through which you can consciously connect with Mary and her angels. Every day in a variety of ways we are given guidance and direction by higher loving spiritual forces. This is so natural and common that we rarely pause and give it our full attention. When we do exciting things begin to happen. You discover a tangible inner resource that is always with you and one which can empower you with help, support, comfort and wisdom.

The second level of power on Mary’s path is accepting your innate intuitive ability to communicate with Mary and her angels. Divine intuition is the inherent ability to tune into the spiritual realms and is a natural means of communication and interaction with nonphysical life. Your intuition is not spooky, overly mystical and a gift given to a special few. Mary and her angels are surprisingly ready to communicate with you and will help you to develop your ability to tune into their presence.

Within each of us is a magical doorway to another world. Although it may seem like a daunting task to open this door and trust what we hear, feel and experience, I encourage you to give it a try. You are worthy of this divine connection and you cannot fail. Simply let go of your preconceived ideas of what it means to form a conscious alliance with divine energy. Mary is remarkably down to earth in her approach to our everyday affairs and interested in your concerns and day to day life. Tuning into your angels and Mary hastens your entry into the sublime presence of another reality which is not governed and limited by the natural laws of the physical world. Through the lens of divine intuitive awareness your problems, concerns, and issues are therefore no longer bound to the laws of cause and effect. Open yourself to the divine and beneficial, loving and healing energy rushes in.

Divine intuition is the knowing that illogical goodness is coming your way.  Lifted into a higher awareness, divine intuition can reveal previously unthought-of of possibilities, bring instant healing to long standing issues and make known the inherent presence of love in all that you experience. Quite different from indulging in fantasy and imaginary thinking this is not an escape from practical day to day concerns and issues instead, it is being present within the realm of all possibilities which is not dependent on external circumstances. When you are fully present, centered and consciously aware, miracles occur.

Manifesting with the Divine Feminine

Is there a voice inside of you reminding you that miracles are possible?  No matter what might be happening in your life, is there a part of you that knows that your current circumstances can change for the better, in an instant. Listen to it!

It is sometimes hard to believe that financial lack and stress can be replaced by abundance and ease. Every day I give intuitive readings to people who are worried about their finances, job security and their ability to tackle mounting bills and expenses. The world is rapidly changing. The material security that our parents and grandparents relied on is rapidly breaking down and shifting. For many, the ability to live comfortably and make a living is no longer a given. Companies and corporations are going out of business, moving out of the country and downsizing. Traditional institutions and financial strongholds are crumbling and losing power.

In these changing times, we need to tap into new and inspired wellsprings of creative ideas and abundance. Creating from the old and limited patterns of behavior and thinking will lead to the same limited outcomes.

Although change incites fear, it also heralds new opportunities. We are evolving. Collective consciousness is shifting and even though it is sometimes hard to see abundance and prosperity through the fog, there is light and hope. More and more we are realizing that our security is not dependent on traditional sources and we are more aware of how our thoughts, beliefs and emotions shape what we experience.

A new way is dawning. Reliance on external power is being replaced with the awareness of the power of the spirit. Motivated to discover solutions to our pressing needs we are now more willing to explore spiritual solutions.

The universe is ushering us into our next evolutionary step. We are being invited to experience the realm of all possibilities. This is a cosmic push into miracles. The divine feminine is re-emerging to lead us into new ways of creating our good, both individually and collectively.  Although most people identify the Virgin Mary as a silent icon of traditional religion, she is the divine feminine most evolved expression of grace and miracles.

Mary is a spiritual being and master teacher who transcends the parameters of any particular religion or spiritual belief. Unfortunately, for centuries her true message has been denied and repressed.

Previous to the miraculous conception, God was thought of as a judgmental and moralistic male.  Mary took God out of the temple and synagogue and placed the divine within the individual. This awareness of God as a spiritual presence of love and grace was a threat to the religious and political institutions. If the divine spirit resides within self, then the power of the church as the intermediary between heaven and earth would have been diminished. The miraculous conception was viewed as a fluke and a one-time only event. It had to be. If an individual is not bound to the repetitive cycle of cause and effect and has the inherent ability to create from within then temples and churches would have no authority and no claim to divine power.

Mary created a new paradigm.  The ability to receive grace and co-create the miraculous belongs to everyone. In our current times of change and transformation her timeless message and influence is needed more than ever. She invites you to ascend into higher vibrational living.

Here are a few suggestions for co-creating miraculous abundance through the divine feminine.

The miracle of unlimited supply and abundance originates within your powerful spirit. Mary comes to remind you that your spirit is pure energy connected to all that is. You are not your past, your education, your mistakes or your socio-economic status.

You are a spark of the infinite divine.Despite all that you have been through and experienced, Mary’s virginity reminds you that within you is pure spirit. This is your virginity.

When we look outside of ourselves for our good it is easy to believe that money, abundance and prosperity come from external sources. What you desire can then seem to be unattainable and distant, always out of your grasp. Yet, when you become aware of your true spiritual nature, you become one with the source of all that is. Living in abundance and prosperity is your most natural and eternal state of being.

In Mary’s pattern grace is her devoted presence and promise of her intersession. Grace interrupts the momentum of your patterned ways of thinking, acting and manifesting. Not dependent on morality, good, bad or right or wrong, grace transforms and alters the events, conditions and the course of your life. Elevating you into direct contact with divine presence, Mary’s pattern moves you into the center of divine power. Grace lifts you beyond the constraints of cause and effect, karma and the material laws. It empowers you to create from the wellspring of unlimited possibilities, goodness and infinite supply.

Redefine what abundance and prosperity mean to you. Prosperity is not just what you have. It is more than money, wealth and accumulation. Material prosperity is but one aspect of living an abundant life. Love, positive thoughts and feelings, warm connections with others and joy are all part of prosperous living.

Notice the good that comes your way. Become aware of the miraculous at work in your life. Whatever we give energy to expands and grows. The more you notice the miracles that greet you every day the more they will increase. Havegratitude for the small, subtle and the grandiose miracles and they will become common place. No matter much or how little abundance you are currently experiencing, be thankful for it and invite more in.

Three Ways to Make the Most of Women’s Intuition

For generations the term “women’s intuition” has been used to describe the unexplainable, non-logical, sometimes quirky wisdom that women often possess. No one quite knows how or why intuition works. But it does.

Intuition has been defined as simply knowing something without any reasonable and logical way of knowing it. Associated with the right side of the brain, intuition resides in the elusive realm of emotions, creativity and imagination, the domain of the feminine.

Everyday in ways that normally go unnoticed, our intuition is at work. We intuit the unspoken feelings and emotions of our partner, co-workers, children and even the check-out worker at the grocery store. We know when a loved one in the other part of the house or even miles away is struggling or having difficulties and we can sense the honesty or dishonesty of our children’s excuses and the car mechanic’s estimate with surprising ease.

Although we don’t always know how we know these things, when we listen to our inner voice and follow through with our gut feelings we are almost always right.

There are many ways that you can employ your intuition to make your life easier and frankly more fun.

Try these:

 Intuitive Listening

Your intuition is telling you that there is something that your partner, who is slumped in his chair, needs to talk about. When you ask him he tells you there is nothing wrong.  Although this is frustrating it may be that he is unable to put into words what he is feeling. Give him the benefit of the doubt. He may not be intentionally withholding information.

Instead of pushing him to talk, take a seat near him and sit quietly.  Take a long deep breath and relax. Come into an open hearted receptive state and listen within.  When you feel moved to talk, express from the heart what you are receiving. Do not lecture, push or tell him how he feels, instead use “I” statements and talk about what you are experiencing.

This simple practice will help your partner to relax, open up and communicate.

Open hearted intuitive listening is also affective with your children, other family members, friends and even co-workers.  It creates a calm intuitive environment of safety and love.

Intuitive Eating

It’s been a long day.  You finally have a few minutes to relax. Before making your way to the couch or bed, you scan the refrigerator and cabinets for a special treat. A little chocolate, a piece of left over fried chicken, and some popcorn never hurt anyone, right?

Before you grab the bag of tortilla chips, sit down, take a deep breath and listen within.  Imagine that your body can intuitively communicate with you.

Ask within if you are hungry? If the answer is no, ask your body to reveal to you what is prompting the desire to eat.

There is a message behind the hunger, listen to it. You might find that emotions like loneliness, frustration or stress surface. You may be bored or want to fill an inner feeling of emptiness.

Instead of eating to dull the feelings, spend some time in inner listening.

Eating is a way to nurture ourselves, but there are other more affective ways. What is the best way to nurture and take care of you?

Listen to your intuition and commit to those actions that will empower you with self care. Often times just listening within and acknowledging how you feel will help you to release the feelings and dissipate the gnawing hunger. Acknowledge all that you accomplished during the day and have loving compassion for you.

Intuitive Career Decisions

Something feels off at work. You can’t quite put your finger on it, but you feel restless and find yourself scanning job boards for other employment possibilities. You talk to your manager and he tries to assure you that your job is secure. As much as you would like to believe this, that little inner voice keeps telling you to start looking.

At this point you have a choice. You can convince yourself that this is just your insecurity and caution speaking or you can without any outside evidence, listen and act on your intuitive impressions.

In these kinds of situations, I often advise people to pay attention to outer synchronicities that may reinforce your intuition. Synchronicity is the random occurrence of unlikely coincidence and a form of intuition. In this situation, you might for instance receive a call from a friend who randomly lets you know that the company she works for is hiring. While exercising at the gym you overhear a couple of people discussing a new division about to open in an exciting and innovative company. You have dreams of being in interesting places involved in new activity and wake feeling more sure and ready to pursue other career options. I have a friend who woke up at 2:00 in the morning, spontaneously went to her computer and looked at the job postings of a company that she had always wanted to work for. There was a job listed that was perfect for her. Two weeks later she was hired.

Your intuition is like a muscle that must be exercised. Be creative and explore the many ways throughout the day that your intuition can guide you. As you do this you will become more adept at recognizing and confidently following through with intuitive messages. You will more often than not be glad that you did.

Need:The Great Equalizer

People view psychic awareness and medium ability in all kinds of ways. For some, it is paranormal excitement and a break from the hum drum of everyday life. Others are mostly skeptical and need to have some kind of scientific proof in order to believe in anything outside of the parameters of the third dimension. Of course this kind of proof is never fully believed even when produced. A more metaphysical approach to psychic ability seeks to understand it through the lens of cutting edge physics and the deeper workings of the mysterious cosmos. For some it is a natural and normal way of being in the world. Many of us approach psychic energy through a combination of all of these. Yet, whatever orientation you may have, when we confront personal loss, pain or when we struggle it all becomes very personal. We jump the barriers of our belief systems and look for answers where ever we can find them. Need is the great equalizer.

Many of the people who I work with are ready for this kind of leap into the unknown. Even though they may have never imagined that they would be consulting me. After having suffered loss, the unexpected death of a loved one or in the midst of crisis or simply looking for answers. People contact me when they need direction. I do my best to be completely present and provide the best possible reading. Receiving guidance from the loving and wise spiritual realm and your guides and angels can open new doors and possibilities. Just knowing that we are loved, known and cared for is healing and uplifting.

As a medium I work with people who have lost loved ones through illness, drug overdose, suicide, accidents and unknown causes. When their loved ones in spirit come forward and communicate to them through me, the full circle of life revels itself. Yet, even when we know that they are happy and alive in spirit, we still miss them and we still grieve their absence. Life can be beautiful, loving and wonderful, but it can also be painful, lonely and difficult. It is no one’s fault what hand we are dealt. The divine works through all things and orchestrates a mysterious plan for our lives. Who comes into our experience and who leaves, is a secret the soul only lets us in on, on a day-to-day basis.

My son’s girlfriend recently took her own life. It was unexpected, shocking and left all of us filled with grief and sadness. Growing up in foster care and diagnosed with a mental illness, she had many challenges. My son felt that he could help her. Some wonder if I knew if this was going to happen. Being psychic has its pitfalls. Knowing that something is going to happen, does not mean that we can change it. About a year before my mother’s death, I knew that she would confront an illness that would end her time here. In my son’s case, I knew that the relationship was destined to be devestating.  But despite my concern and warnings he felt a connection with her and chose to pursue a relationship.

It has been difficult to watch my son suffer. Like many mothers, I would do anything to take this pain from him. But of course I cannot. I have no control and no special magic to change the great wheel of life and death.

Going through this crisis with my son has helped me to be more mindful of the vulnerable state that many are in when they seek me out. I know that it is not always easy to come see someone like me. It is a precious gift to be trusted to communicate with those on the other side. I do my best to not take it for granted. For me psychic and medium ability is a way to express love and caring. We are all in this together and we all have different gifts to express and give. It comes down to our ability to be there for one another. To step outside of ourselves, open our hearts to others and recognize the great kindness that we are all capable of.

But, I Want To Go This Way….

I recently had an ahha moment where I was reminded that my intuition is not always so interested in leading me in the direction that I want to go. Seems obvious enough, but it took me awhile to realize that many of the times when I thought that I had misinterpreted or was confused by my intuitive signals, I was in fact, reading them correctly.

I used to feel that my intuition had failed me (or I had failed it) if I felt intuitively led into situations and experiences where I was challenged and tested. Now I have come to understand that my intuition was not faulty, it just had a different agenda.  I had places to grow and issues and pain to confront and all along my intuition has known this.

There is always another step, another level of growth and a layer to peel away. Our intuition is as focused on helping us to heal as it is in leading us into the easy and blissful.

Your intuition is connected to the deeper part of you.  Sometimes I fall into the trap of wanting my intuition to work for me to further my aims and desires. I forget that I have not always been the best judge of what makes me happy.  I am forever grateful that my intuition feeds my soul and responds to my spirit and not my overly human self that wants what it wants

A client of mine recently posted this on my Facebook page.

She wrote:

“Was driving home from school yesterday and turned onto a road even though something told me not to–as soon as I made the turn a voice in my head said, “I TOLD you not to go this way, but if you insist, then SLOW DOWN.” And I did and narrowly missed a car that pulled out in front of me–by inches. Thought of what you would say! :)

Thankfully she listened and avoided a possible collision. Beyond the life-saving effects of her intuitive knowing, it is a good metaphor for how our intuition often points us in the opposite direction of where we want to go.

Intuition is an invaluable ally. It will alert you to danger, provide you with insight into others and yourself, send you messages as to how to take care of your health and overall well-being.  It will also lead you into situations and experiences that you might not normally consciously choose.

Intuition leads us into a deeper mystery. Don’t try to overthink it or question if it is keeping you on track with your goals and desires. In every moment there is an opportunity to intuitively receive and be lead into what you most need mind, body and spirit. This is the genius and magic of your intuition.

Intuition and Creativity

It seems my whole life I have been involved with creativity in some form.  In my early twenties I was a fiber artist who painted silk and wove on a big loom. I traveled to various cities to sell my clothing, wall pieces, hats and stuffed animals at fairs and festivals and I had my work in several galleries and boutiques. I loved being an artist. During this time I also worked as an art therapist in treatment centers for adolescents and children. After a debilitating car accident I was unable to continue to physically work the long hours that weaving demanded and I increased my hours as an art therapist.  In time I went back to school to earn a degree as a pastoral counselor and then went to work fulltime as an intuitive and medium. Despite the inherent creative energy that is generated when intuitively working with others, the call to create still rumbled inside of me.  Earlier in life I enjoyed writing poetry and journaling.  My intuition kept pushing me in this direction. When I finally submitted to its nudging my passion was re-ignited. I now write almost every day and recently had my third book was released.

I cannot remember a time when I did not have an urge and desire to create.  I do not consider myself an expert in the creative process. I only know how I best create. Creativity, for me, is synonymous with intuition. Logic, reasoning, thinking, planning and organizing have a large role in creating, especially writing. But, intuition takes the lead. Every creative project I begin starts with the spark of intuitive connection and inspiration.  I often feel as if I am being guided by a wise but undefinable presence. I have learned not to question it, but to just go with the flow. When I feel a kind of inner tingling electricity and energy, I listen, tune in and wait for an idea or direction. I become receptive, pay attention and wait. Eventually a thought or a visual image emerges and I know how to proceed. Throughout the project, I continue to be led in this way. Sometimes the thinking mind wants to take control and I begin to overthink and analyze but eventually I am led back to listening within.

This was my process in the book, “The Miracle Workers Handbook: Seven Levels of Power and Manifestation of the Virgin Mary” that was recently published.  This book came about through intuitive inner listening.  I do not know Mary through a religious perspective.  Instead it was her spiritual essence and energy that guided me throughout the writing. In many ways the seven significant events of Mary’s life that I describe in the book are a blueprint for the creative process. Creativity is essentially a dance with the deep recesses of the mysterious divine feminine.

When it comes to writing here are a few other things that have worked for me.

Give yourself time and space. Don’t rush the process. Daydream, contemplate, meditate, clear out your mind and become receptive.

Don’t try to lead. Instead invite the essence and energy of your topic to express itself through you. Then listen for its often subtle voice. Accept it and go with it.

Write, get it out. Do not worry that it initially makes sense at first. Do not try to edit and organize as you write. Save this for later. Be as honest and bare bones as you can be.

Jump around if you need to. The brain is a multitasking wizard. Go with it. You might be writing chapter one and get an idea for the last chapter.  I used to think that I had to go from one thing to the next. I finally let my brain go where it wanted to and writing got so much easier. It seems crazy but it works.

Keep feeling what you are doing. Check in with your intuition, your gut and the flow of energy.  Getting lost in what you are doing is a good thing.

After you have written the first draft, make peace with the fact that you will probably have to edit and re-write many times. At least I do. You might be a more gifted writer than I am. But I have come to accept that I will most likely revise many times.

If what you write gives you peace, you are successful. No matter what publishers, agents, reviewers or friends say, the greatest gift of the creative process is the feeling knowing in your heart and the sense of peace that comes with authentic expression.  Of course it always feels good if others appreciate your work. Most of the time though if you like what you are doing, others will too.
